YahZarah’s performances are effortlessly electric. She encompasses the tenderness of Adele, and the audacity of Prince. YahZarah is the diva with healing power. She is the archetype of an urban pop Joan of Arch She has shared the stage with Prince, the Roots, Anderson Paak, and Bilal Oliver, and was the featured performer on Anthony Hamilton’s “Playing it Cool Tour” at the House of Blues.
YahZarah has been considered for a Grammy in 6 categories and dubbed “Performer of the Year” By Soul Tracks as well as Essence Magazine’s woman to watch. She was even given the honor of performing, at the request of the Italian government, for the inauguration of President Barack Obama. She started her career lending her unique soprano to Erykah Badu’s Band “Camp Wisdom” where she would stay for seven years singing backing vocals and providing vocal arrangements for some of the most beloved songs her “Mama’s Gun” release. YahZarah then went on to become a member of Rock Legend Lenny Kravitz’s band for four years on his incredible“Strut Tour” and putting down some considerable vocals in his rockumentary “Just Let Go”. And just released her 5th musical venture “The Ceremony”
